Looks Like A Win-Win For South Boston for Neighborhood of the Year

According to Boston.com, South Boston is up for neighborhood of the year.
South Boston will be competing against itself for the title of “Neighborhood of the Year” in the Curbed Boston Cup.
The event, now in its second year, sponsored by the real-estate and lifestyle blog Curbed, pits Boston neighborhoods and surrounding cities against each other for the chance to be named the best place to live.
The Seaport District, South Boston's newest residential and commercial neighborhood, beat out the Back Bay with 62.7 percent of the vote to reach the finals. South Boston fought off Somerville to make it to the finals, taking 61.7 percent of the vote.
Now South Boston and the Seaport will compete against each other for the coveted title.
Last year the South End stole the show, beating out Cambridge for first-place.
Polls are open through New Year’s Day and as of Dec. 31 160 votes have been cast with the neighborhoods tied neck and neck.
