Micro-housing Unit Could Change the Boston Real Estate Market

This week the micro-housing unit was unveiled. The goal of this type of housing is to keep it affordable. Originally, this idea came about so that young professionals could afford rental units in Boston. Now, it seems like this may be for all, divorcees or maybe even seniors moving back into the city. Now the million dollar question seems to be how do you keep this affordable? On average, condos between 300-500 sq. ft. sold for $621 a square foot in the past 6 months (MLS).
